ABSTRACT
While earning his PhD at GEU, Dr. Alan Marx developed a sweetener from plant extracts. The sweetener is as palatable as table sugar and has zero calories. He established Sweet Solutions Inc. near his home in Maryland as a conduit for conducting additional laboratory tests on his product. A candy manufacturer interested in producing weight-and diabetes-control products provided financial support for product testing and development.
