ABSTRACT
As the score test and the exact test are most popular, we shall consider the power and sample size calculation only for these two tests. StatCalc uses expression (4.5) to calculate the exact power. The dialog box [StatCalc→Discrete→Binomial→Tests for Proportions and Power Calculation] computes the p-value for testing binomial proportion. This also computes the power for a given (p, p0, α, n), and computes the sample size for a given (p, p0, α, power).
