ABSTRACT

Concrete is the mixture of cementing material, aggregate and water (with or without water) according to appropriate proportions, and after a certain time it is hardened into a solid material. In fact, the concrete is an artificial stone[1]. Broadly speaking, the history of the concrete can be traced back to ancient times, Egypt as early as 3000 BC has built pyramids with plaster mortar, China as early as the Qin Dynasty (220 BC) has built a great wall with lime mortar. Subsequently, in 1756 the British John Smeaton invention hydraulic binders and rebuild Eddyston Lighthouse, 1796 British James Parker obtained patent natural hydraulic cement, in 1813 the French Louis Vicat artificial hydraulic cement production by sintering limestone and clay, 1824 British Joseph Aspdin invention Portland cement. When using the Portland cement as cementing material into concrete, in 1850 and 1928 there has been reinforced and prestressed concrete, concrete before they get a wide range of applications, it is currently the most widely used and the use of the world’s largest range building materials. To facilitate the description, the following text in the concrete of the term refers to Portland cement concrete.
