ABSTRACT
Lubricating grease can simply be described as a solid to semifluid material composed of a thickening agent with a nonaqueous, friction reducing fluid. Despite this fundamental definition, the manufacture, composition, and performance of grease is a complex matrix of engineering controls and chemical reactions that result in specific performance for unique applications.
