ABSTRACT
IPMF-IT and the specified industry performance frameworks are integrated using methods and tools (technologies)2 from industry best practices that support the major results areas of strategic management, performance management, and IT operational management within the context of IT service delivery life cycle. Effective performance management requires the integration of industry best practices to streamline processes, boost efficiencies, optimize the utilization of IT resources, and improve organizational excellence. Table 7.1 illustrates the integration, which is the theme of this book. This integration is based on these distinguishing characteristics: performance framework-measurement driven, results driven, life cycle process driven, IT process framework, and performance analytics.3
