ABSTRACT

There are a number of tools and ideas that Lean Six Sigma uses. Most have been discussed in previous chapters. Here are additional tools that were not covered previously in this text. The goal of the International Lean Six Sigma practitioner should not be memorizing all the tools or reciting the body of knowledge. International Lean Six Sigma practitioners should work on increasing their awareness of the many tools available and tool purposes. The dynamics of using these tools are generally mapped out in simple step-by-step instruction guides. Many tools can work as stand-alone process improvements for simple improvements that do not merit doing an entire project. Memorizing the mechanics of a tool is not as valuable as the awareness of what tools are available to solve a particular problem.
