ABSTRACT
The term design innovation does not have a universally agreed-upon definition in process improvement. The expression may be used in conjunction with optimizing products, processes, or services. It is also used when referring to the invention process. Usually, the term is used to mean creative ways to design and think based on a strong understanding of best practices used in that particular industry. The approach is agile, but the design or thinking is rooted in scientific or business imperatives.
