ABSTRACT

In nature, plants have a wide range of protective powers that guard them from being harmed and/or destroyed. One such protective power is the aromatic or essential oils. Without aromatic oils, plants would be readily attacked and destroyed by pests, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and so on. In fact, without such oils or other protective agents, there would be no healthy or living plants left on this planet. That is because germs would routinely attack any plants devoid of protective mechanisms or that are depleted in this regard, disabling and ultimately destroying them.
