ABSTRACT
In video cataloguing, a special but important aspect is highlight extraction, which summarizes a video based on user interest or content importance. Generally, a highlight is something (event or detail) that is of major significance or special interest. With these technologies, users can save time by watching only a summarization of concerned and highlighted parts of a program. In addition, among all types of video, highlight extraction is more popular in sports video, for example, basketball and soccer videos.
