ABSTRACT
The characterization of liquid interfaces is vital for a large number of modern technologies. In particular, the dynamic behavior of liquid interfacial layers under external perturbations is an important prerequisite for the development of new technologies and products. While Chapter 1 described in detail the situation of interfaces at equilibrium, this chapter gives a general approach to interfacial layers under nonequilibrium conditions.
