ABSTRACT

This book mainly studies the matching transition of new equipment systems as a result of interactions among subsystems, which include reliability engineering, maintainability engineering, supportability engineering, and engineering cybernetics. The main idea of this book is to further extend the research on steady-state availability analysis for optimization and control over instantaneous availability that is more suitable for engineering practices. This extensive research includes

1. Analysis and study of the instantaneous availability models for the existing single-unit repairable systems, repairable systems with repair delay, and repairable systems with preventive maintenance, to set up the instantaneous availability models constrained by limited periods, to prove the existence of system steady-state availability with the theory and methods of matrices, and to obtain the expression of steady-state availability.
