ABSTRACT

In the previous chapter, detailed research on the availability equation and its approximate solution of continuous system under general probability distribution is carried out, which is significant for research on instantaneous availability fluctuation to a certain degree. Through analysis, it is found that there is still a great limitation in the aforementioned research results, that is, the approximate solution does not really equal the analytic solution, and the error of approximate solution has an influence on analysis of fluctuation. Nevertheless, in order to better study instantaneous availability fluctuation, it is necessary to seek a new method for solving the instantaneous availability equation. As everyone knows, there is no very effective method for determining the analytic solution and approximate solution of instantaneous availability equation. This chapter focuses on trying to solve the equation using a numerical computation method.
