ABSTRACT
A handful of technical documents around the world address concrete surface assessment. Organizations such as the American Concrete Institute (ACI 364.1-R07, 2007), the American Standard Association, RILEM, and the European Committee for Normalization (EN 1504-10) have produced guidelines and standards intended to provide guidance to the practitioners (engineers, specifiers, QA/QC specialists, applicators, etc.) in the assessment and preparation of a concrete surface prior to the installation of repairs and surface treatments in general.
