ABSTRACT
Our goal in this chapter is to learn about bioinspiration and to realize its importance for inventive engineers. We have at least four major reasons why future inventive engineers need to learn about bioinspiration: knowledge, appreciative intelligence, the numerical optimization curse, and fun.
