ABSTRACT
In the 15 years I have been a Lean practitioner, both when I worked for companies and in the 11 years of running Kaizen Assembly, I have always been a proponent of kaizen events. Kaizen events are intended to be the mechanism for Lean implementation. This chapter walks you through a 4-day kaizen event to illustrate how to implement your work cell. There are other approaches to implementation, but kaizen events have proven to be the most effective for me.
