ABSTRACT
In the case study considered here, a reliability engineer at a ceiling fan manufacturing firm wishes to perform reliability analysis on a particular brand of fans. Specifically, he is interested in knowing the answers to the following questions:
• By what time will 15% of the fans fail? • By what time will 92% of the fans fail? • What percentage of fans will survive past 70 months?
