Improving the efficiency of the process and meanwhile minimizing the cost has been the constant demand of both industry as well as researchers. High throughput processes have been a boon to such demands. These processes have revolutionized the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries and have been leveraged by drug discovery processes. These processes are gaining popularity not only in industries but also among research laboratories due to their inherent advantages like fast and simultaneous processing of a large number of samples and miniaturized platform that leads to reduced processing time, amount of reagent and space required. These properties significantly reduce the processing cost and labour.
