ABSTRACT
A system is an entity formed due to interactions between its components. It is surrounded by its environment and is separated from it by a boundary. The boundary may be of physical, chemical, biological, or social origin, depending on the type of system. The set of interactions between the components constitutes the structure of the system (Figure 1.1).
