ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we will discuss how the basic four-legged structure of an ant robot is built. The ant robot is a basic robot that can be designed with minimal electronic, mechanical, and electrical resources. Our project basically uses three servomotors: two standard-sized servomotors for leg movement and one submicro-sized servomotor for neck movement. The entire control of the ant robot is programmed using an Arduino UNO development board. The primary objective of developing this robot unit is to learn the basics of robotics as well as to become familiar with the basics of the Arduino development board and to gure out the functionality of several sensors and actuators that connect, besides performing collaborative tasks.
