ABSTRACT

The integrated PISERIA value methodology has the potential to unify fragmented business processes by disrupting the focus from the singlesilo approach of separate, hierarchical functions to a single integrated architecture that optimizes the horizontal flow of products and services through entire value streams, using interconnected teams and networks across various functions to fulfill customer requirements. Such optimization through the PISERIA value methodology will need multidisciplinary, whole-system thinking, thereby creating an ecosystem of improvement methodologies that are linked together through PISERIA. To illustrate, a car can perform its desired function only as the integrated system it was designed to be. Likewise, only a whole system, all of whose elements are in place and mutually coordinated with one another, can enable a company to be an agile competitor.
