ABSTRACT

Joseph is 16 years old, and has been involved with the juvenile court for three years. He was originally petitioned to the court on charges of theft, robbery, breaking and entering, and felonious assault. He has been on probation, participated in an outpatient program for teens on probation, and spent 12 months in a county juvenile treatment facility. He began receiving mental health treatment at the age of four and has participated in counseling services for most of his life. He went for several years to individual counseling sessions through a family service agency, and, more recently, received home-based therapy through a public counseling agency.
