Intrauterine insemination (lUI) is a widely used procedure. There is some debate about whether this method should be seen as a conservative or an
invasive approach. Owing to the fact that lUI does not imply extracorporeal
fertilization and that usually less 'aggressive' ovarian stimulation is applied, most people nowadays see lUI as a conservative treatment option.
