ABSTRACT

For each of the following infants presenting with vomiting, select the most likely diagnosis. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1. A 2-month-old, bottle-fed infant presents with vomiting. He has been vomiting milk up to five times a day for the last 2 days. The vomiting is associated with loose stools and he has been having up to ten bowel motions a day for 3 days. His temperature is 37.1°C. On examination, his blood pressure and pulse are normal, his eyes and fontanelle are not sunken, his peripheries are warm and his lips are moist.
