ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Metal Cutting Industry has done many researches to get products with high accuracy and low cost. To get accuracy of the product, errors should be eliminated or reduced. Many ways have been found for precise performance of machine tools like error avoidance, error compensation etc. This paper deals with the design and analysis of 5 axis Vertical Machining Centre column and head, in accordance to various relevant standards. Validation of structure is done through FEM analysis in stress, displacement and mode shape using creo parametric 2.0 simulation module of Pro/Engineer.
