10.3 Enterprise Service Registry An ESR is where the details of all the services, the service metadata, are stored. Normally, the service is designed with WSDL, XSD, SOAP messages, and other business-logic-related details. On completion (implying design reviews, test vocabulary for annotation, etc., conducted according to the services design and development process [SDDP]), an enterprise administrator is able to register the web service along with other details in the ESR. ese details are provided by the developer and reviewed by the system administrator as part of the registration process. As part of the registration service invocation, an annotation record is generated and stored in the enterprise service metadata repository (ESMR). To facilitate reuse of any web service, the service is registered in the ESMR for discovery. e Registry standard has been the OASIS Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI) specication, version 3.0.
