ABSTRACT

Alternaria fruit spot occurs as small reddish brown circular spots fruits (Fig. 29). Increase in the infestation coalesces to form larger patches and the fruits rot. Cercospora fruit spot occurs as light brown spots on fruits (and as indicated above same spots may appear on leaves). Spots on leaves may be black and elliptical. Affected areas on the leaves become flattened and depressed with raised edge. Infestation on leaves may cause it to dry up.
