Professionalism in the handling and application of the forensic tools, whether it is a trajectory laser or chemicals to detect blood, is imperative for a thorough crime scene investigation. A blood detection kit consists of different chemicals to perform presumptive tests at the crime scene to determine if the reddish brown stain found at the scene is blood or any other substance. Luminol is a blood-detecting chemical that can be used in the visualization of cleaned-up bloodstains and blood patterns. The chemical reactions between Bluestar and blood result in luminescence that can be photographed. Amido Black is a chemical used to enhance fingerprints, footprints, or shoe impressions in blood. ZAR-PRO is a fluorescent blood-lifting strip allowing quick and easy lifting of a bloody fingerprint from virtually any surface, even fabric. Blood is a biological fluid that can be found at most crime scenes.
