ABSTRACT
A radio astronomer must analyze and interpret the radiation detected in order to learn about the physics of the object being studied. erefore, a solid understanding of the basic physics of radiation is critically important. In this chapter, we discuss some introductory radiation physics essential to the rest of the book.
