ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will consider the structure and composition of Earth’s atmosphere, as well as two major issues concerned with the atmosphere: global warming and ozone depletion. Other aspects of air pollution will also be considered, together with the cycling of carbon, nitrogen, and sulfur through the environment.
