ABSTRACT

A great deal of research has been done on the status of project management, especially the amount of project failures and the possible underlying reasons for why they occur. One of the main reasons why project failures occur at a proportional rate compared to the size of the project is simply that there are more opportunities for failure. Project failures categorized as low quality might instead be a case of trying to reduce the project scope to meet artificial and unachievable schedule deadlines. Project failures categorized as employee turnover may be a case of employees getting burned out or fatigued from being pushed so hard to meet unachievable schedules. The more realistic cost and schedule estimates provided by a Dynamic Progress Method -based tool will move the comparison yardstick for a project, which may be enough to make the project successful.
