ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with a more complicated example project to show some of the advanced analysis capabilities of the Dynamic Progress Method approach. Files from Microsoft Project are imported into pmBLOX as XML files. Thus, before closing Microsoft Project, the user must choose Save As and select the XML format as the desired file format. The value Mult is the driver of the acceleration analysis. All the other inputs so far have set up the pmBLOX project file so that the appropriate management policy will kick in when it needs to, the resources are used according to the management policy, and the resources suffer productivity losses that are reasonable if worked Overtime for a significant amount of time. Project planning is not as easy as some of the critical path method (CPM)-based tools would have us believe. The simplicity of the CPM will hurt the project and decrease the probably of project success.
