ABSTRACT
It is also necessary to pay attention to changes of human perception and comfort level caused by high values of accelerations induced on the structure (Nhleko et al. 2009). To avoid such situations, temporary steel grandstands are commonly strengthened using additional diagonal elements that create bracing systems which is selected depending on the size of the structure, type of the event or acting load, etc. (Crick & Grondin 2008). Such elements are mostly diagonal structural members and their application is crucial in design of such structures.
