ABSTRACT
Among the several processes, heavy medium separation, jigging, tabling and spiraling are gravity concentration processes and are based on settling characteristics of various particles.
A theoretical analysis on the settling conditions and knowledge of the parameters that influence the motion of particles in a fluid is essential to analyse the gravity concentration processes, to design the suitable equipment and to apply the process for separation of coal.
