The Fire Warden then follows the evacuation route with anyone found during the sweep and, once reunited with the Exit Supervisor, goes to the predetermined meeting spot safely away from the building. That is an unfortunate view of a critical aspect of the life/safety system in a building. Every facility beyond a private residence is going to have a fire panel that centralizes all of the functions and signals. Two-stage alarm systems can give more flexibility in larger, multibuilding or multitower and interconnected buildings to manage the fire event and prevent a general shutdown of the entire facility and the business being conducted therein. Alarms in facilities are the emergency communication method to tell people in the facility what to do when facility-wide emergencies occur. The fire annunciation panel, as indicated earlier, is the brain or central computer of the system and has a verbal communication system often confused by building occupants as a public announcement system.
