ABSTRACT
It is a requirement of the Nursing and Midwifery Council as identified within The PREP Handbook (Nursing and Midwifery Council 2008) that you meet the following requirements. It is a requirement of the Nursing and Midwifery Council as identified within The PREP Handbook (Nursing and Midwifery Council 2008) that the nurse meets the following requirements: he/she must have completed a minimum of 100 days (750 hours) of practice within the 5 years prior to renewal of registration; he/she must have undertaken at least 5 days (35 hours) of learning activity relevant to the nurse's area of practice in the 3 years prior to the renewal of the nurse's registration. The most valuable part of the IPR process is to receive feedback and to realise that he/she is appreciated and a valuable member of the team.
