INTRODUCTION Some women and babies adapt to breastfeeding with relative ease, and experience an uneventful and enjoyable journey. However, not all women fi nd initiating or continuing with breastfeeding a straightforward matter, and both psychological and physical factors are associated with breastfeeding cessation.2
