ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the usage of MDE for variability man-agement. Software Product Lines (SPL) are now emerging as a paradigm shift toward modeling and developing software system families rather than individual systems. SPL engineering embraces the ideas of mass customization and software reuse and is strongly related to modeling.
