ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines examples of projects that can be proposed for individuals or groups of students relative to the course material contained in this textbook. In order to work on the projects, students will be encouraged to state correctly the corresponding problems, read the relevant literature and provide a research result. The minimal expectation is that a Monte Carlo study is performed in the context of the corresponding project. We believe that interesting solutions related to the proposed projects have the potential to be published in statistical journals. This can motivate students to try to develop methodological approaches regarding the course projects.
