ABSTRACT

This chapter describes a method of mosaic generation that combines plenty of long-strip SAR data. The global and multi-temporal SAR products are very helpful in detecting and interpreting environmental changes in the terrestrial biosphere and cryosphere. The proposed method consists of long-strip SAR imaging, ortho-rectification and slope correction, intensity balancing of the neighbor strips, metadata preparation for the observation date, local incidence angle, radar shadow, layover, valid/invalid data, and mosaicking.
