ABSTRACT
The interaction of infrared (IR) radiation with electrons results in several photoeffects such as photoconductive, photovoltaic, photoelectromagnetic (PEM), Dember, and photon drag. On the basis of these photoeffects, different types of detectors have been of interest, but only photoconductive and photovoltaic (p-n junction and Schottky barrier) detectors have been widely exploited.
