ABSTRACT
This section concentrates on general aspects of IR systems, which are briefly defined and analyzed to demonstrate their applications. In the work presented here, the emphasis is on the methodology, rather than on the detail description. It is written to clarify and summarize the principles of infrared (IR) technology and combines numerous engineering disciplines necessary for the development of an IR system.
