ABSTRACT
In order to plan, design, and execute the driving of piles, engineers must rely on methods developed based on pile dynamics. Pile dynamics is the analysis of the response of piles in the ground when acted upon by a dynamic load applied at its head, as during a hammer blow. This chapter covers wave equation analysis, the Case method, signal matching analysis, and pile integrity testing.
