ABSTRACT

The use of parallel shift technology for image processing allows to form a set of functions for its description. A parallel shift in this case is the change of the spatial coordinates. The function of the area of intersection (FAI) depends on the area of intersection of the original image and its copy, which parallel shifts in the selected direction, as well as on a distance of shifting. The function of the area of intersection is continuous and differentiable on the interval from 0 to the maximum shift. Integral coefficients (IC) are appropriate to apply to the image recognition algorithm in the comparison step. Before the phase of the comparison of FAI, it is necessary to carry out a comparison of the IC. Application of integral coefficients will substantially reduce the number of samples for which comparison of functions are performed.
