ABSTRACT

The use of parallel shift technology allows determination of the motion parameters of the object. The main parameters of the movement will assume the direction and distance of the object displacement in the receptor field. The methods for determining the parameters of the object motion by using non-cyclic shifts of the image copy in the process of the function of the area of intersection (FAI) formation are based on the determination of the centre of mass of the object. To compare methods of determining motion parameters by using different types of shifts of copy of image, the software model was created. Three types of trajectories of the moving object were tracked. The first type—the position of the point of intersection of the diagonals of the bounding box is determined; the second type—a location of the mass centre of the figure is determined; and the third type—the calculation of trajectory by analysing the cyclic FAI is used.
