ABSTRACT

Mood can be described as the atmosphere and/or emotional expression of an image aside from the character’s emotion. It is the visualization of what the architecture, the landscape, or the overall shot or scene emotionally emanate. The overall mood, which is sometimes referred to as the tone of the film contains the film being a comedy, a horror movie, horror-comedy, a farce, action movie, spy film, etc. The visual deals with the image itself and how the artist can create a mood through the content of the frame. Visual mood deals with everything in the frame that can be seen and includes the background design, the character–background relationship, but also the composition and cinematography. Mood in this regard is what gives a scenery personality, elevates its content from a bare visual depiction of a setting to a place with a unique personality.
