ABSTRACT

Composition in visual arts is the arrangement of the pictorial elements in order to create a well-balanced and effective image that, with the use of psychology, geometry, color, and all the other aspects of design, interprets and visualizes the intended story point. Composition is the foundation of images and the underlying structure that holds everything together. Composition can subconsciously lead the viewers on a path through the image, affect their emotions, and influence their reading and thus understanding of the image. Composition is never a solid and straightforward procedure but always a tedious and open field that can change constantly and has to be adjusted even if only little changes are made. The colors are chosen very carefully and extend the geometric basis of the composition into the world of texture and mood.
