ABSTRACT

The Simulate group of modifiers create simulations which are imitations of real world phenomena. In some cases, the modifiers are automatically added to the modifiers stack such as whenever a Particle System or Physics is enabled. The cloth Plane can be made to Interact with other objects in the Scene. Adding modifiers to objects introduces data in the Physics buttons, which controls how the objects react and Interact. It is beyond the scope of this basic demonstration to explain all the settings. Dynamic Painting is the process of adding Material color and deformation effects to the surface of a mesh object. The application of Material color from the Brush takes place at the intersection of its surface with the Canvas. The Explode Modifier makes a mesh object fly apart or explode. The Ocean Modifier creates an animated ocean topography from a Plane object. This modifier is sometimes referred to as the Ocean Simulator.
