ABSTRACT

In Blender, Armature refers to an Object type that is used to deform a mesh. An Armature can consist of a single bone or multiple bones as shown in the diagram. Multiple bones are linked together and move relative to one another. One bone will move other bones depending on their hierarchy in the linking. Armature Bones are linked together in a Child/Parent Relationship. It will help if people understand what this entails and how to manually set up this type of link. Armatures can, and usually do, comprise multiple bones, but before complicating anything you should start with an understanding of Bone manipulation. Adding Bones to an Armature and creating an Armature Rig is primarily for posing or animating a Character Model. A Character Rig or Armature is constructed using the Extrusion method. A Rig is constructed to fit a Model. Make Human models come with a considerable number of vertices in the surface mesh.
