ABSTRACT
Add-ons are additional Blender functions which people activate when required. Blender comes with a variety of Add-ons hidden away in the User Preferences window and there are literally hundreds available for download from the Internet. Add-ons are pieces of computer code written the Python programming language. The Celtic Knot Generator is a Python Script for manipulating a mesh into the shape of a Celtic Knot. The Python script will be installed into Blender. That is, it will be added to the program as opposed to being merely added to a Blender file. The python script is automatically installed into Blender. With the Cube object selected in the 3D window and the Add-on activated, select Celtic Knot From Mesh in the Add menu. In the 3D window the orange outline of the Cube is replaced by red lines wrapped and crossed around the Cube.
