ABSTRACT

The phenomenon of impotence has been accepted or abandoned naturally as a phenomenon resulting from aging rather than a disease in many cases. However, recently, impotence has been considered very important in terms of quality of life. It is increasingly becoming a perception that it is a disease that needs to be treated.

The purpose of the treatment of impotence is to ensure that the individual or the partner has satisfactory instances of sexual intercourse. For this, the cause of impotence needs to be established to bring about desired changes in lifestyle or risk factors so that a desirable sexual life can be achieved. In addition, impotence is associated with other risk factors for cardiovascular system diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Therefore, the fact that impotence may appear as a premonitory symptom of more serious medical diseases, such as diabetes or hypertension, should always be kept in mind.
